Legends of the Spirit Trees
The Spirit Trees were photographed in a grove of Eucalyptus trees in northern California. Native to Australia, Eucalyptus trees are regarded by their aboriginal neighbors as one of the final resting places of the spirits that made "all that is". As the seasons peeled away layers of bark, colorful human, animal and supernatural images would be seen that inspired many of the myths and legends of what is the worlds oldest continuous civilization.
